Gran Fondo
The Gran Fondo Mashu is not a cycle race, but rather an enjoyable day out for cyclists of all standards wishing to experience the special scenery and cuisine of the Teshikaga District. Cheerful local staff guide you around the course serving delicious locally produced foods and delicacies including Mashu soba noodles, curries, potato cakes, freshly baked breads, desserts, and much more. There are three courses: long (120km), middle (90km), and short (60km). Children aged 6 and above can participate; local elementary school children regularly cycle the short course event, which is perfect for those unused to cycling long distances.

■Route : Circuit of Teshikaga District (Start and Finish at Kushiro Area Mashu Tourism Culture Center)
